There were maybe only a handful of new areas that weren't included in Chronicles. According to the developer, the content and most puzzles are the same with the prime difference being the new look to the world and new game engine. I enjoyed playing Chronicles more than this. Definitely don't buy both games. Pick one and only play one.Essentially everything I said in my review of Chronicles applies to this game. The differences: This game is no longer episodic, the story merely continues in multiple chapters. There are no longer hidden chests to find. The player can now control camera movement. Jumping no longer pushes Adam backward. I prefer all the character skins in Chronicles over Origins.. I very like this game, very much adventure!. Booted up on my second monitor instead of mainHad to reboot 3 times to get to the right resolution on the right screenWasn't able to change controls which sucks because the default ones are on QWERTY, and i have an AZERTY keyboard. Well where do I even start with this. Words that spring to mind are linear, boring, linear, linear, mechanics, gameplay, linear...wait did I say linear? Just making sure.You would never have thought this game was released less than 2 years ago. Now baring in mind that there have been at least 3 previous games made some time ago, which were linear and boring as f*ck with terrible mechanics, you would think that they would learn. I have not dug deep enough into whether or not this game was made by the same devs because I don't care. You expect to see improvements and you get nothing. Literally nothing.In terms of graphical quality, you would think you are playing a game from the mid 2000's, similar to details in a fan modded upgrade of Half Life 2 at BEST. The story is rubbish, the characters are rubbish with no personalities, the voice acting and dialogue is TERRIBLE, the game mechanics are slow, clunky and just don't work and it is as about as linear as that long straight road you see on many canvasses which runs through Colorado. No wait, it's as linear as the painted line on that long straight road. And yet this is supposed to be a bit of an adventure game.I could go on and on and on about the gameplay and mechanics but I can't be bothered. What p***ed me off more is this was my 100th perfect game and it's just a shame this had to be it! Don't waste your money unless this is on a big sale discount.. full of bugs and boring gameplay. Crashes and it is horribly voice acted and scripted,.. i realllly wanted to like this but i wanted to claw my eyes out while listening to the horrible dialogue3/10 for trying.... Adam Venture Origins is simply a 2016 next-gen reimagining of the previous trilogy. Essentially it’s the same franchise we have already probably played with only a few differences here and there.Changed...* Lizard no longer does river dance in the sky.* More plants and flowers everywhere.* Snake monster now sparkles too.* Puzzles have been made easier so that those asleep at the keyboard can solve.* Adam Venture has lost weight. His MC Hammer pants have been thrown out.Other than that it’s essentially the same trilogy with a few differences in some of the previous endings.So with that in mind, since the developer hasn't really made any changes to the trilogy other than some cosmetic changes and hasn't brought us any new adventures where Adam is searching for other relics like Noah's ark, The Search for the Nephilim, The Turin Shroud. Why should I do any new work either???Instead I've decided just to add a link to my previous review about the franchise and add a flower for cosmetic reasons.
